Galveston Fishing Report – Summer Fishing in Full Swing
Fishing in Galveston, Texas is on fire right now. Inshore and Offshore fishing is excellent. Water Temperatures are in the mid 80’s and when this happens… You never know what you may catch! Both the North and South Galveston Jetties are holding good numbers of speckled trout, redfish, bay snapper, drum, pompano, Spanish mackerel, sharks and more. On many of our Galveston Fishing Charters – we will target the better eating fish during the first half of the charter to get some nice fillets for our customers, then we will back out into the deeper water and hook into some big sharks, bull reds, stingrays, jack crevalle, and more. This is a great trip for kids and families looking to catch a variety of fish that inhabit our Galveston Bay and Beachfront.
Shallow, calm water fishing in the secluded back lakes and bayous is another 
great place to be. The fishing in these areas are great fun for kids and families that just wanna have allot of action without the worries of sea sickness. Less crowds, amazing scenery of our Texas Coastal Marshes… and the opportunity to see an alligator on the bank or swimming across a bayou – this is what a Galveston Bay & Marsh Trip is all about. We are catching some nice slot red fish, flounder and speckled trout on these trips, and this is also where we hold our Galveston Kid’s Summer Fishing Camps.
Galveston Deep Sea Fishing is in full swing. Red Snapper season opened June 1 and will run thru August 1. We have been catching some very nice red snapper, king fish, wahoo, amberjack, and mahi. The mahi bite should get better as we move into summer. Also, the tuna bite will turn on as we near the month of July. This is a great time to get out into the Gulf of Mexico and enjoy a Galveston Deep Sea Fishing Charter. We also have lodging available at Bay’s Landing just over the bridge of San Luis Pass on Oyster Creek. For only $200 per night, with nine beds and capable of sleeping up to eleven… Bay’s Landing is a great place to spend a family vacation and enjoy both inshore or deep sea fishing. With two boat slips just down stairs – it is a convenient way to enjoy a nights stay and a fishing trip!
