Galveston Fishing Reports for October

We are almost half way thru the month of October, and fishing has been good.  We are running allot of bay and marsh fishing trips, some jetty trips and allot of Galveston Flounder Gigging Trips.

We are still gigging in shorts and short sleeves, but once the temps cool, and we are heading out in sweat shirts… its gonna get better!

We are seeing some very nice flounder and gigging some over 8 lbs!

We are one good cold front away from the flounder really to get on the move.  Our Fish/Gig Combos are a great combination to get in on the back marsh reds and speckled trout.  Then watch a beautiful sunset on Galveston Bay, and get the gigs out and start hunting flounder.  One good cold front and a flush of the marsh and bayous will really have these trips in full swing.

Our Bayou and marsh fishing trips have been great as well.  We are catching good numbers of redfish, trout and flounder.  Most of these fish are falling prey to live shrimp under a popping cork.

The Galveston Jetties have been producing great numbers of spanish mackeral, redfish and some speckled trout action as well.

November is around the corner.  Fishing is going to be great!  This is a perfect month to introduce kids to fishing!  Not too hot, not to cold and the fish are hungry!  Give us a call and get hooked up on some Galveston Fall Fishing!  Kids are our specialty, and they always catch the most on our trips… WE make sure of it!
