It has been a very busy and exciting July for Fishing in Galveston.  Inshore and Deepsea fishing in Galveston and Freeport has been hot and heavy with great action.

Our Galveston Fishing Guides are on top of the fish, and some amazing stringers are hitting the dock.

Galveston Deep Sea Fishing

Deep Sea Fishing Galveston and Freeport, Texas

Galveston Tuna Fishing2017 was incredible for Red Snapper Fishing for us.  We had many fish over 18 lbs this year, and couple hitting the 30 lb mark!  The season closed on July 20th.  Now we are targeting some amazing fish other than red snapper.  Kings, mahi, cobia, tuna, wahoo, sailfish, and more.

Now is an exciting time to run out to the deep water where the shrimp boats are.The shrimpers pull nets all night, then anchor and sleep during the day.  The boats are an attraction to fish because of the bycatch and culling that takes place during the process.  We get to these boats early in the morning, and fish for mahi, tuna, cobia, kings, shark, wahoo, and more!  This is a great time to be out with us Deep Sea Fishing.  You never know what you may catch!

Galveston Jetty and Beachfront

Galveston Speckled TroutThis time of year is our favorite time to fish along the Galveston Jetty and Beachfront.  Water temps are in the mid 80’s and the jetty is full of fish.  This is the passage from Galveston Bay to the Gulf of Mexico, and you may catch Bay Fish, and possibly fish that make their way in from the Gulf – Kings, Pompano, Spanish Mackerel, Tarpon, and even a sailfish has been caught along the south jetty.  Our Galveston Fishing Guidesfocus is on Speckled Trout, Red Fish, Spanish Mackerel, Bay Snapper, and flounder… but you just never know what may eat a live shrimp!  Fishing has been incredible, and some outstanding fish are hitting the ice!  If catching a shark is something that you want to do… now is definitely the time to go fishing with us! Galveston Shark Fishing is hot right now!

Galveston Bay and Marsh Fishing

Our Galveston Bay and Marsh Fishingtrips is Galveston Fishing Guidesan excellent way to enjoy a peaceful day on the water, away from the crowds, amazing scenery of the Gulf Coast, and to catch some fish!  This time of year the bays of Galveston and Jetties can get crowded.  Our Bay and Marsh Fishing trips is in a secluded area, and crowds are non existent.  Fishing can be excellent for redfish, speckled trout and flounder along the shallow flats.  We also have crab pods set out, and can almost guarantee a crab boil in your future!  These are the same areas we hold our Galveston Summer Kids Fishing Camps.  Sea sickness is never, ever a problem.  We are catching some solid red fish and flounder using live shrimp under a popping cork.  Give us a call and get out on a Bay and Marsh trip with us soon!

Fall Fun – Fishing/Gigging, Duck Hunting and Lodging Packages Coming Soon

We are very excited to be able to offer lodging in the very near future.  The lodge is on the water in Turtle Cove – Freeport Texas.  The boats will pick you up from your dock in the morning for a bay fishing adventure for red fish, speckled trout, and flounder.  After your trip we will bring you back where you can enjoy a nice lunch, shower and possibly a nap – until the evening when we go hunting the bay floor for flounder at dusk.  We will be giving more updates on our website and our Facebook Page.  Stay tuned!  Great fun and adventure ahead!
