Galveston Jetty Fishing Report

Yesterday I had regular customer Tom aboard for to celebrate his birthday.  He brought along wife Gwen and brother Ken.  Tom is always a pleasure to have aboard our Galveston Bay Fishing Charters.  He just loves being on Galveston Bay, and really has saltwater in his veins.  He loves it all – from the back bayou fishing, flounder gigging, and the deeper water jetty trips alike.

I moved the trip from a morning trip to an afternoon trip due to 20 plus mph north winds forecasted for the morning.  We left the dock a little before 1pm, and by 2pm Tom, Gwen and Ken had boated three limits of Bay Snapper (Sheepshead).  After icing these great eating fish, Tom and company said ‘Lets go catch some BIG FISH’ and catch BIG Galveston Fish, they did!  Tom landed his biggest ever redfish, a 45″ Stud along with two others well over 35″.  Also, Big Galveston Black Drum were biting well also.

Bait of choice has been live shrimp and cracked crab for the bigger fish.  Water is in great shape in Galveston Bay, and despite the high winds – we are really catching some very nice fish.  These Galveston Fishing Charters are great for families, friends and kids.  Book a trip with us today – the Fishing is Great!
