Galveston Marsh Fishing Report

We had a fair weekend of fishing.  The speckled trout action for us has been a little slow.  The rainstorm we had Thursday night muddied the waters which hurts the trout bite.  The redfish, flounder and puppy drum action is pretty hot right now.  We caught allot of redfish.  Many of them under the 20″ minimum length requirement, but still a great fighting fish.  We did manage some limits of slot reds up to 24″.  Some nice flounder are being caught as well.  The bait of choice has been live shrimp fished under a popping cork.  Pictured are Christian and Trey with their nice limits of redfish.
