Things to do in Galveston during Spring Break

January 3, 2013

Galveston Texas offers some of the best fishing on the entire Texas Gulf Coast.  During the month of March, many people venture to Galveston Island for the warm weather, beaches, and the awesome fishing that takes place.  Here at Fishing Galveston Tx - we know where to go to get kids on some Giant Galveston Fish during Spring Break.  We will fish the Galveston Jetties for Giant Black Drum, Sheepshead, Redfish and Speckled Trout.  Sheepshead are spawning along the jetties, and are a very fun fish to catch especially with kids.  Galveston Sheepshead put up a tremendous battle and are sure to put Big Smiles on kid's faces!  If we target the Giant Black Drum, they are a sure way to get your arms tired from the tremendous battle they put up.

If a shallow calm water back bayou trip is more your pace, we will be targeting beautiful Redfish, great eating Flounder, and speckled trout, along with chances of black drum, sheepshead, Golden Croaker, and sand trout.  The Back Bayou trip is a sure way to enjoy the peace and tranquility of what our Texas Coast has to offer and even spot of an alligator or two.  If sea sickness has ever been an issue or a concern - book the Back Bayou Trip, and enjoy a great day on the water.
