Summer 2020 has been a busy season with many folks getting out and enjoying the great outdoors.   Our Inshore Fishing Trips have been action packed with nice catches of speckled trout, red fish, Spanish Mackerel, sharks, flounder, white trout, pompano, bay snapper, drum and more!  Our deep-sea fishing charters experienced an amazing red snapper season.  Along with the red snapper catches, we caught king fish, mahi, cobia, tuna, wahoo, amberjack, grouper and more.  As the deep sea fishing begins winding down we will be concentrating inshore for redfish, speckled trout, flounder, drum, and bay snapper.  Also, we are at our favorite time of year to get out on Galveston Bay for a Night Time Flounder Gigging Trip.

The Galveston Jetty/Beachfront trip is always a great choice for choosing a fishing charter.  Being the major pass connecting the Gulf of Mexico to Galveston Bay – you never know what species of fish will bite next.  September and October fishing here along the Galveston Jetties is known for red fish.  This is a great time of year to catch trophy bull reds as they migrate to the passes for their annual spawning activities.  Big Bull Reds with weights to 40 plus pounds will give anglers a battle to land.  Along with the bull reds, we will be catching the slot reds which are much better table fare than the larger bull reds.  We recommend catch/photo/release of the larger bull reds for they are our breed stock, however if anglers choose to use their tag to retain a bull red – we will fillet and bag it up for you to cook!

Another great area to be fishing during this time is the back lakes and bays of Galveston.  As the water temperatures begin to cool down, these areas offer great fishing for red fish, speckled trout, flounder, drum, sheepshead and white trout.  If you are looking for scenic views, less crowds, and fun shallow water fishing – the back lakes and marshes are a great place to enjoy a Galveston Family Fishing Trip.  Very kid friendly… these areas are a sure bet for those concerned about sea sickness to enjoy a day of fishing with calm waters and lots of action.

We also have waterfront lodging at Bay’s Landing and will sleep up to eleven people!  Enjoy a great night’s sleep and wake up for a cup of coffee, then walk downstairs and our boats will pick you up from the dock for a fun filled day of fishing.  For only $200 per night – you cant beat it!  A Galveston Lodging and Fishing Package is a great family vacation that will fit any budget!  Give Captain Greg a call at 409-739-8526 or book online here!
