The days are getting shorter, we have experienced our first ‘cool front’ and Galveston Flounder Gigging is getting better.  We had a little taste of fall air this week with temperatures dipping in the low 60’s. The Fall Flounder Run is around the corner, and the bigger female flounder are already showing up in the shallows.  There are a ton of male flounder already in the shallows, and the females are right behind them.  We have already had two fish gigged over 23″ and one right at 22″ (pic above).  October of 2011, we had two fish over 26″, and December we gigged one right at 27″.  I am hoping for a 30″ flounder in 2012!  I know there are quiet a few of them out there.

October is booking up, but I still have one Saturday available for October and a few weekdays as well!
